SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive, non-surgical clinical procedure that is used mainly to promote healing within the affected area. It works by sending high-frequency low energy radial sound waves to the affected tissue with the aid of a gel medium.
It produces micro-traumas, promotes accelerated healing, and relieves pain. The controlled process causes an inflammatory response and in return stimulates the body’s natural healing process resulting in quicker healing responses. This treatment may be combined with other treatments such as Graston technique, Active Release Technique, Medical Acupuncture.
