Dr. Merogi has been an active soccer player since he was young. Despite undergoing three surgeries for sports injuries, he was still in pain.

An Education in Health

To obtain his undergraduate education, Dr. Merogi attended York University in Toronto nd received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and health science. Next, he moved to the U.S. to attend New York Chripractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree there and enjoyed the experience of living in a different country.

Dr. Yako Merogi


Yako Merogi is a chiropractor with the Sports Health team at Cleveland Clinic Canada. He is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and believes patient education is essential in providing effective treatment for his patients. Dr. Merogi is also committed to on-going learning and staying abreast of the latest innovations in chiropractic care. 

Raised in Toronto, Dr. Merogi received an Honours Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University and then moved stateside to receive his Doctor of Chiropractic from the New York Chiropractic College. He is certified to provide Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) therapies for the spine and upper and lower extremities as well as contemporary medical acupuncture, and IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization). Dr. Merogi also utilizes joint mobilizations/manipulations and Kinesio-taping as part of his treatments. Dr. Merogis treatments focus mainly on release ing the muscle tension through various treating techniques, manual adjustments and incorporates exercises as part of a treatment plan.  

Dr. Merogis clinical area of focus includes manual therapy. He enjoys working closely with patients to help them reduce pain, increase flexibility and improve their athletic performance. As a former athlete, he understands the importance of chiropractic care and the effect it can have on the overall strength of ones body. He believes that the natural approach to chiropractic care can help people of all ages achieve optimum wellness, both physically and mentally. 

Dr. Merogi is in his 11th year of practice and has mainly practiced in multidisciplinary team including family physicians, sports doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, naturopaths and many other specialists. He currently works 6 days a week including Saturdays.  He spends Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Cleveland Clinic Canada part of prestigious team specializing in executive health exams. he is part of sports health department and works at his own clinic in Woodbridge on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. he is in clinical practice approximately 50 hours a week between the two clinics.  

In his spare time, Dr. Merogi enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing a variety of sports including soccer.
